Mortal Kombat 11 for Nintendo Switch Delayed, But Only in Europe

Nintendo Switch players in the UK and Europe are going to have to wait a few weeks more to get their hands on NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 11 on Switch.

The game’s originally planned release of April 23rd, 2019 doesn’t seem to be going ahead for the UK and Europe. Multiple retailers have changed their product listing pages for Mortal Kombat 11 on Switch, including Warner Bros. and Nintendo, seemingly confirming a delay for the European release of the game.

It looks like, going off retailer listings, the game will now launch on May 10th, 2019 in the UK and Europe. At the time of writing there doesn’t seem to be any suggestion that the North American release date has changed. North American retailers are still showing the game’s original April 23rd, 2019 release date, including Nintendo. That’s something, then, but it’s still a bit of a pain in the bum that us Europeans will have to wait an extra three weeks to get our on-the-go gore fix. Still, better late than never…
