Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Update Version 1.04 Makes Switch Release “Nearly Identical” to Other Platforms

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night didn’t get off to the best of starts on the Nintendo Switch. It’s a fine game by all accounts, but it was a little bit of a let down in the technical department. Long loading times, poor performance, and generally lower-quality graphics meant it stood at the bottom of the pile when compared to other releases.

505 Games has since updated the game a few times since then, and today’s new update makes it, as 505 Games says, “nearly identical” to other versions in terms of content.

There will be more updates in the future, for sure, but as it stands Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is now as good on Switch as any other console version. Here’s what the latest update does:

  • Stability improvements, such as crashes experienced while interacting with bookcases.
  • Fixed an issue with corruption during dialogue which could lead to crash
  • Some Performance improvements related to animations
  • General Bug Fixing
